Cyclect Facilities Management Selected by Singapore Food Agency for Marine Aquaculture Centre

Singapore Food Agency selected Cyclect Facilities Management to operate the Marine Aquaculture Centre, a government facility supporting Singapore's food security strategy through domestic aquaculture development.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) selected Cyclect Facilities Management to manage operations at the Marine Aquaculture Centre — a government facility central to Singapore’s strategy of diversifying food supply sources and strengthening domestic aquaculture capability.

The Marine Aquaculture Centre supports research, breeding, and production activities relevant to Singapore’s “30 by 30” food security goal. Facilities management at the Centre is operationally critical — aquaculture environments involve precise water quality control, temperature management, biosecurity protocols, and continuous monitoring of life support systems for marine species.

Cyclect Facilities Management was engaged on the basis of more than 20 years of experience managing technical and specialised facilities across government and private sector clients. The team’s role encompasses day-to-day operations management, maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring that the facility runs at the operational standards required by SFA’s scientific and production programmes.

The engagement represents Cyclect’s entry into food security-related facility management, adding a category with direct government policy relevance to an already diverse public sector portfolio.
