The National Environment Agency (NEA) selected Cyclect Electrical Engineering to deliver the electrical infrastructure works for Tuas Nexus, Singapore’s integrated waste management facility.
Cyclect’s scope covers the design and installation of power and lighting systems, earthing and lightning protection, and extra-low voltage systems across the facility. Tuas Nexus is designed with a treatment capacity of up to 7,000 metric tons of waste per day, integrating an incineration plant, a materials recovery facility, and a biomass power plant — enabling waste-to-energy conversion and maximising resource recovery.
The facility is co-located with PUB’s Tuas Water Reclamation Plant on an integrated site, reflecting Singapore’s approach to resource recovery infrastructure. Systems within Tuas Nexus are highly interconnected, requiring electrical installations that support complex, interdependent process equipment operating continuously at industrial scale.
Cyclect’s award of this contract reflects NEA’s assessment of the group’s capability to deliver electrical works of this technical complexity within a major national infrastructure project.
