In 1973, Cyclect expanded its operating base to support a broader range of industrial and engineering services. This year also saw Cyclect’s expansion to a larger, 100,000-square-foot facility on Liu Fang Road, enabling it to scale up operations to serve a broader range of industries.
Alongside the move, Cyclect launched its Electrical Projects Division, specifically to support critical government projects for the Public Utilities Board, Ministry of Environment, SMRT, and Public Works Department. Throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, Singapore’s economy shifted towards high-value manufacturing and infrastructure development, a transition supported by government policies that encouraged local companies to build capabilities in engineering, construction, and public services. In response to these policies, Cyclect seized the opportunity to support large-scale infrastructure projects and public services, positioning itself as a dependable partner in Singapore’s modernization efforts.
