Cyclect Electrical Engineering was engaged as the electrical contractor for the air conditioning system at an Amazon data centre project in Singapore, appointed by Shin Nippon Air Technologies (SNAT), the lead mechanical and HVAC contractor on the project.
Amazon’s data centre expansion in Singapore supports its AWS cloud infrastructure operations in Southeast Asia. Data centres at this scale require electrical systems engineered to support continuous, fault-tolerant operation: power reliability, capacity headroom, and system integrity are non-negotiable requirements given the criticality of the computing loads they serve.
Cyclect’s scope covered the full electrical installation works for the air conditioning system, including power distribution, controls wiring, and commissioning — works requiring close coordination with the HVAC contractor and adherence to the client’s stringent technical specifications.
The project added a hyperscale cloud infrastructure reference to Cyclect’s data centre portfolio, which also includes facilities management work for Singtel data centres and involvement in the FutureData green data centre park development in Sarawak.
