The Cyclect Group and CYBERDYNE Inc have signed a Collaboration Agreement to develop an advanced robotic solution and intelligence system for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore’s (CAAS) Aviation Challenge 1. The goal of the collaboration is to automate the baggage handling process for narrow body aircraft with minimal human intervention and oversight, and to reduce manpower dependency and increase productivity through process automation.
Cyclect will work with Cyberdyne, known for their development of the HAL Robotic Exoskeleton Suit, to provide baggage handlers with supportive robotic exoskeletons that help to alleviate the pressure on their backs when lifting and carrying loads, thus increasing output and preventing chronic back pain. The two companies intend to create a vision for the future airport with robot technologies.
The partnership broadened Cyclect’s access to specialist capability and strengthened its ability to serve customers across more complex scopes.
